ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To pro vide reference for promoting the standardized construction of centralized intravenous drug dispensing mode and the healthy development of PIVAS and improving the rational infusion in China. METHODS :The establishment and development process of PIVAS in China were reviewed ,the necessity ,current situation and problems to be solved of centralized intravenous drug dispensing mode were analyzed. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS :Due to scientific , advanced, smooth, convenient operation procedure and standardized management ,and reduced occupation exposure ,centralized intravenous drug dispensing mode ,of which the pharmacists were in charge ,had become the inevitable development direction of intravenous drug dispensing in Chinese hospitals. The overall PIVAS construction in China had worked well and played a significant role, not only significantly improved the quality of finished infusion ,promoted rational drug use ,protected the health of nurses and ward (area) environment, but also contributed to the construction and development of the nursing profession ,and also contributed to the improvement of the pharmacy department ’s own management level. However ,the value of PIVAS pharmacist service still needs to be understood.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To establish an elementary criteria system for the access qualifications of hospital pharmacists to serve as a basis for the setting up of training goals of pharmaceutical education in school of higher learning and in-service edu_cation of hospital pharmacists, and to provide references for related policy makers in formulating qualification criteria for hospital pharmacists at different professional level and to provide references for the professional tests and assessments of hospital pharmacists at different professional level.METHODS:The criteria system of access qualifications of the pharmacists in medical institutions was raised referenced by the trend of overseas hospital pharmacy and the status quo of hospital pharmacy in China. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS:Access qualifications of pharmacists,pharmacists-in-charge,chief pharmacists were brought forward from the following aspects:professional knowledge, work experience & capability, capability in teaching and scientific research. The higher professional level the pharmacists are,the stricter in the demands of their capabilities including management of organization, promotion of rational use of drugs and doing pharmaceutical research.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the relationship between fucoidans structure and their antioxidant activities. Method Fucoidans (HF) were extracted from Laminaria japonica and was separated by anion exchange chromatography on DEAE-Cellulose 52 column (2.5?40 cm), and two fractions HF1 and HF2 were obtained. Fucoidans of low molecular weight (LF) was made after hydrolysis of HF by hydrochloric acid and purification by ultrafiltration. Chemical methods and gas chromatography were used to analyse the sugar composition of these polysaccharides; and infrared spectrum was utilized to determine their structure. The activity of inhibiting hydroxyl radical (?O H ) was evaluated by means of Fenton reaction. Results In HF1, 18.834% uronic acid, 44.197% L-fucose, 31.193% D-galactose and 24.612% D-mannose were detected. As to HF2, 5.878% uronic acid, 81.119% L-fucose and 18.881% D-mannose were found. L-fucose content in LF was 13.033%, equal to 32.084% of that in HF 40.621%. Both in HF1 and LF, sulfate groups were at the C-2 and C-4 positions of L-fucose, while in HF2, sulfate groups only at C-4 position. The concentration of fucoidans inhibiting 50% ?O H (IC50) was 7.6, 5.2 and 8.9 mg/ml for HF, HF1 and HF2 respectively. Nevertheless, LF approximately lost this activity. Conclusion The molecular weight, content and composition of sugar and the combining sites of sulfate groups were found to be related with the activity of inhibiting ?O H radical in fucoidans.
